Graduate student in Cognitive Science at Osnabrück University.
I’m studying Cognitive Science, specializing in Artificial Cognition, at Osnabrück University. Before that I read Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, where I wrote my thesis with the Computer Science and Engineering department.
I’m broadly interested in a more dynamical-systems understanding of machine learning. Having spent a lot of time on reinforcement learning — where dynamics and control feel intuitive — I keep wondering how those ideas carry over to the rest of the field. Recent work on state-space models and latent dynamics is the kind of thing that pulls me in.
Away from research I watch a lot of film, which is the other half of this site. I think the two habits are related: both are about paying close, patient attention to how something actually moves.
